Back in the Spring of 1984, having worked several years for a local plumbing, heating, and electrical firm, Ray and Greg decided to go it on their own.  They bought two old trucks and some basic tools and converted Ray’s garage into a makeshift warehouse.

Soon the need for more help and more space was evident.  They have since added over 21,000 sq. foot of office, warehouse, and workshop space and currently employ over 35 people with very little turnover in those years.

They have come to realize that the Popejoy name is only as good as the people who represent it.  It’s been long hours and hard work, but all in all, a very fulfilling experience.  The company’s continued success is a direct result of its prompt and courtous personalized customer service.
