That’s why we’re proud to announce that the first phase of construction is now underway for our new Training and Research & Development (R&D) Facility!

This is a major milestone for our company and our team. It represents an investment in the future, not just for Popejoy, but for every customer who trusts us to take care of their home or business.

A Hands-On Training Center for Real-World Skills

Textbooks, videos, and manuals can only take you so far. At Popejoy, we know that the best way to master a skill is to get your hands dirty by working directly with the systems you’ll be servicing in the field.

Our new Training Center will feature live, working equipment across all of our trades: plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical, water treatment, and standby generators. Rather than practicing on mock-ups or simulations, our team will be able to work with real-world setups that mirror what they’ll encounter every day on the job.

This hands-on experience will help us:

• Train new team members faster and more thoroughly
• Cross-train technicians across multiple trades for broader expertise
• Practice troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance in a controlled environment
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices

Better training means better results — for our team, and most importantly, for our customers.

Research & Development: Innovation in Action

But training is only part of the story. This new facility will also serve as Popejoy’s own Research and Development (R&D) Center, where we’ll have the ability to test, vet, and innovate.

Before we introduce any new product line, technology, or service offering, we’ll be able to put it through rigorous, real-world testing right here in-house. We’ll examine performance, durability, efficiency, and overall customer value — long before it ever reaches a customer’s home or business.

This approach ensures that when you see a product recommended by Popejoy, you can trust it’s been tested for reliability under real-world conditions, verified for performance and energy efficiency, assessed for serviceability and deemed reliable for years to come.

Our R&D center will also be a launchpad for developing our own proprietary technologies and innovations, just like we’ve done in the past. Products like HOTROD Septic Treatment and the BonnetSocket tool were both founded through Popejoy ownership, and this new facility gives us a dedicated space to research, create, and refine future breakthroughs. Whether it’s a new service tool, a better installation method, or a product designed to solve real-world customer challenges, we now have the ability to bring ideas to life right here at home.
